Ruby Wines Announces New Changes to its Fine Wine Portfolio Team
New Leadership Team:
- Colin Quinn has been appointed as the new Director of Portfolio Management- PBI. With 14 years at Ruby Wines, Colin has been instrumental in driving the success of the company’s niche, direct imports and large-scale suppliers such as PBI (formerly Taub Family Selections). Over the years, Colin’s leadership has driven impressive sales increases across both on- and off-premise accounts. He is a WSET Advanced Level III and Certified Advisor from the Sake School of America and a Skidmore College graduate. In his new role, Colin will focus on the Palm Bay International Portfolio, which includes prestigious brands like Trimbach, Bertani, and an exciting spirits portfolio that includes the renowned Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin.
- Domenic Giammarco steps into the role of Fine Wine Portfolio Manager. Having spent nearly 20 years working with Ruby Wines’ portfolio of wines, spirits, most recently as Boston Division Manager, he is recognized for his industry expertise. Additionally, through his various roles in the business, he has developed key relationships with retail buyers, chefs, and beverage directors across the state. Domenic brings extensive knowledge and strong market relationships to the team. Domenic is also a Certified Advisor from the Sake School of America, a Harvard graduate and has extensive experience and knowledge of the portfolio. He is well positioned to lead this collection of prestigious global wine estates and producers.
- Zachary Catania joins Ruby Wines as a Fine Wine Portfolio Manager after a successful seven-year tenure at Broadbent. Zachary was awarded Broadbent’s Salesperson of the Year in 2023 and has a proven track record working with Ruby Wines as a supplier rep in the Massachusetts market. Prior to that he was a Ruby Wines customer for ten years. Zachary brings his expertise particularly in French and Italian wines, as well as New World wines, with an impressive presentation style that garners attention, resulting in significant sales and client satisfaction. His deep familiarity with the Ruby Wines’ team and our portfolio, as well as the Massachusetts market, will prove invaluable in creating new opportunities and continued growth.
Colin, Domenic and Zach join Samantha Straw, who has been a Fine Wine Portfolio Manager for over eight years; Joe Corrado and Paige McGroarty who are the Spirits Portfolio Managers. The Portfolio Team is run by David Browne, Senior Vice President of Sales and Portfolio Management.
